Abstract
The design of fuzzy controller for nonlinear systems is considered. The controller is the fuzzy blending of linear controllers, each of which is designed for linear local model of the nonlinear system. Fuzzy model of the nonlinear system can directly adapt this type of fuzzy controller. The effectiveness of the approach was demonstrated by extending the idea to design fuzzy observer. Observer for the system was considered to be the fuzzy blending of the linear observers, which are designed for local linear equivalent systems. The two examples discussed in the paper shows the effectiveness of the approach.
