Abstract : (Seminar) This paper explains about a code system called Reed-Solomon code which is devised to address the issue of correcting multiple errors and theory behind Reed- Solomon error correction. It also explains how a variety of practical R-S encoders and decoders solutons are implemented using Xilinix Spartan-2 family FPGAs and Its applications in different areas like CD player,ADSL modem etc are mentioned.
Spartan-2, has advantages over traditional ASSP like easily updating and easily debugging etc.. are mentioned.
