Emerging Nanotechnologies for Site Remediation and Wastewater Treatment

Abstract : Seminar This document was prepared by Katherine Watlington, a national network of Environmental Management Studies grantee under a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This document provides an overview of the state of the science of Nanotechnology. The products marketed in the nanotechnology and most of the technologies being studied at universities are discussed. Attention is given both to the investigation and repair capabilities. The toxicity and safety problems of the various technologies are also briefly described, as well as overall toxicity concerns more generally, the nanotechnology. Finally, the current state of regulation is addressed.
