Wind excited buildings and the effect of structural eccentricity

Abstract : Seminar Wind tunnel model tests aeroelastiset CAARC high building standards related to translational-torsional motion with a degree of three degrees of freedom hinge base aeroelastiset (BHA), the model was adopted. Experimental study of the effects of frequency ratio cross-wind/torsional and the presence of eccentricity between the center of mass and center of rigidity caused by the reaction of the wind characteristics and excitation mechanisms of the wind has been made. The results showed significant effects cross-wind/torsional frequency ratio has been normalized standard deviation along the wind, crosswind and torsional responses. In addition, frequency ratio cross-wind/torsional and eccentricity between the center mass and center of stiffness showed a significant effect on the transfer of vibrational energy between the elements of an answer.
